Der Song ist von Alan geschrieben und wird mit dieser Version, gesungen von Michaela Senger und gespielt von Alan, zum ersten Mal zum Kauf veröffentlicht. Aufgenommen wurde er 2010 in Celle.

Alan hat’s ja im letzten Beitrag schon selbst auf Englisch berichtet, aber hier auch noch mal auf Deutsch: Pünktlich zu Weihnachten (*zaunpfahlwink* ) ist sein Instrumental-Album “Leaves” mit elf Klavier-Stücken erschienen, das er ja schon seit einer Weile angekündigt hat.

Hörproben gibt es — wie immer — auf der Diskografie-Seite. Außerdem ist das Album auch ab sofort im Online-Shop als CD oder MP3-Download erhältlich.

Wow! Unbelievable! It’s done! It’s there! You can buy it! Now! This is the CD I’ve been telling everybody about for the last two years, but hey, that’s how long it took to write all the pieces and learn to play them.

Special thanks to Peter Richter for his patience and advice. Listening to a guitar player play the piano is not the easiest thing in the world.

The CD goes really well with a good Pinot Noir from Oregon and/or a petite soirée with good friends.

Hi Everybody! We have just completed shutting down the club in Celle and moving everything to our new location. I’ll now have time to finish my piano album, (7 down, 3 to go) and promote the new stuff from “les guitarists”: Thanks to everyone for your patience. We hope to have everything going at full speed by Christmas. Our goal is to make enough money next year to qualify us for membership in the “Patriotic Millionaires” club, so we can contribute our fair share and thus increase government revenue to adequate levels.

It was with great sadness of the passing of my friend and work partner Andrew Gold, with whom I wrote and recorded several songs while I was living in Los Angeles in the 1980′s.

He was a great musician, multi-talented — guitar, piano, drums, bass and vocals. He once told me his voice was a combination of the best singer in the world (his mother, Marni Nixon) and the worst singer in the world (his dad, Ernest Gold). That’s why he wanted to work with me, because he didn’t like the sound of his own voice.

He was a great friend with a wonderful sense of humor. His love of music was just as strong as mine.

The world has lost a great musician. Thank God I still have a few recordings that we made together, which unfortunately were never released. Below you can listen to the song “Marilyn” which I wrote and on which he played guitar. Drums were played by Michael Botts.
